Ryen Songhurst is a man that swept us off our feet today. At 27 years old Ryen lives with spinal muscular atrophy and 10 other disabilities combined that have been mutating over his lifetime and yet his strength of character, zest for life, humour and wisdom are incredibly striking.
This is a young man who is incredibly resilient, determined and driven to survive and today we were privileged to join him at his house in the Sunshine Coast.
Ryen generously gave his time, energy and insight into his life, his outlook, the people that supported him and shaped him to be the man he is today. He is raw, honest and an absolute pleasure to get to know.
