À propos de cet audio
This week the podcast discusses the texas floods, the one Big Beautiful Bill, and the Trump v. Casa case.
CLARIFICATION:
Federal courts typically only issue rulings on laws that affect the boundaries of their geographical region. A nation wide injunction stretches that jurisdiction to the entire nation in the name of uniformity and consistency, the theory being that a person in jurisdiction A has gotten relief and therefore no one else should have to suffer just because they're in different geographical area. On the Other Hand! This means that one court's judge (out of over 600) can impose their interpretation among others across the nation. Supreme court did not rule specifically but strongly signaled that this type of injunction is not allowed.
