In this episode of Beyond the Bell, we welcome our very first Surry County Schools alumni guest—musician and singer-songwriter Fisher Freeman. A Surry Central High School graduate, Fisher grew up with music in his blood and began performing publicly by age 12. Today, he’s written and released original songs on major streaming platforms, performed at countless community events, and even had a track featured on iHeart Radio in Chicago.
Fisher shares how his experiences in Surry County Schools helped shape his journey, the teachers and staff who supported him, and why staying connected to his hometown community matters.
