À propos de cet audio
In today's episode I talk about a difficult discuss both views essay which students usually get wrong.
The question is:
Some people feel the best way to reduce the number of accidents on the road is to further limit the speed of vehicles. Others think that there are better ways to tackle this issues.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
The first problem students have is that they don't realise that 'to further limit the speed of vehicles' means to lower the current speed limit. They will talk about introducing a speed limit to reduce accidents, but that isn't the question.
The second problem is ignoring the words 'the best' and 'better ways'.
Listen as I explain why these words are important, and how I thought of my ideas.
Don't forget to comment and let me know what your ideas for this question might be.
