Episode 2: Pride — Protest, Party, or Politics?
Pride began as resistance, a fight for visibility and the right to exist. Today, it’s parades, parties, and political stages. But what happens when you don’t fit the mold? In this episode of Unbuttoned, I share my experience as a bisexual conservative — from the peer pressure of my first Pride in West Hollywood, to the erasure of bi voices, to the silencing of anyone who doesn’t follow the “approved” script. Pride is supposed to be about inclusion, yet so many feel like outsiders. This isn’t about division — it’s about reclaiming space for all of us, and unbuttoning the hard questions we’re too afraid to ask.
