The King of Comedy Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey (or bonded bourbon if you want it rounder)
- ½ oz Averna or other amaro (for depth and hard-earned wisdom)
- ¼ oz honey syrup (1:1 honey + warm water)
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Orange peel (expressed)
Instructions
1. Add whiskey, amaro, honey syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until well chilled and properly diluted (about 20–25 seconds).
3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube.
4. Express an orange peel over the drink, rim the glass, and discard or drop in.
