Jim Mason is an author and attorney who focuses on human/animal concerns. His latest book is Madness: The Deep Driver of Our Climate Crisis Lessons From My Family Farm, He also wrote An Unnatural Order: The Roots of Our Destruction of Nature and co-authored The Ethics of What We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter with ethicist Peter Singer.
Jim is a long-time activist for over 50 years. In this episode, he talks about speciesism, human elitism and how/why humans have become so disconnected from nonhuman animals, as well as the ramifications of that disconnection.
