Last Saturday, I had the great pleasure of interviewing Ross Halperin about his book “Bear Witness: The Pursuit of Justice in a Violent Land.” I especially enjoyed this interview because it gave me a new perspective on Honduras, a country that doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
I also deeply appreciated Mr. Halperin’s focus on the role religion played in his book because both of the men he was writing this book about, Kurt Ver Beek and Carlos Hernández, come from a faith background, and it was nice to see Christianity discussed in a manner that focuses less on culture war issues and more on helping people in need.
