 In his fourth recording, M explains more to Jen about the frequencies and their long history. After being pulled over by a highway patrolman who warns her about a strange group of people living in these parts, called the Sonarians, Jen listens to more of M's voice memo. In it, M hints that she should take a "ski trip" in the desert, which makes no sense, but when she gets to a small town she finds a bar called the Ski Chalet. She goes inside and meets an elderly woman named Lola who claims to be a witch and also to have met her brother Mark some time ago. About the Creator - Peter Mattei

About the Creator

Peter Mattei is a playwright, novelist, screenwriter, director and cable television series creator/showrunner. His critically-acclaimed one-hour series Outsiders (Hulu) was among the top-rated cable series in 2016/17. He has also written original pilots for HBO, Fox, A&E, CBS, and ABC, and created/directed an original documentary series for AMC. His Gotham Award-nominated microbudget feature was developed at the Sundance Directors Lab, produced by Robert Redford, premiered at Sundance and released by Miramax. His 2014 novel The Deep Whatsis was called a “red hot debut” by Publishers Weekly and published in six languages. Recently he has developed television projects with Lee Daniels Entertainment/20th Fox and for Topic Studios (Spotlight, Leave No Trace) and he has indie feature films in the works with the producers of Little Miss Sunshine and Mulholland Drive. Mattei is a graduate of Brown and the Yale School of Drama and currently lives in California and Austin, Texas.
