- Ch. 31 (Part 2) - Team Dresden is thrown in the pit, and Marcone is strung up like bait.
- Ch. 32 - Team Dresden escapes from the pit (with Marcone’s help), defeats the FBI agents, and then Harry and Murphy stay to confront the Loup Garu.
- Ch. 33 - Harry tries to free Marcone quietly, but the Loup Garu catches him. Harry escapes just long enough to use his Penticle as a weapon, while Murphy fires her gun at something behind him.
- Ch. 34 - Harry wakes up, realizes his misunderstanding with Murphy, and short epilogue
