    Mar 9 2026

Reach out to Cody and Buhler to tell them what's up!

So how good is your favorite team's starting quarterback really?

On today's episode of False Start, John Buhler (Lead Writer, FanSided) flew solo like a cup with Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) frolicking somewhere in Colorado with the NC State podcast.

Buhler started the show off with a bang reacting to Bill Connelly's Power Four quarterback rankings for ESPN.

He then addressed the NCAA's beef with Trinidad Chambliss trying to playin for Ole Miss again, as well as Arvell Reese's position-less nature coming out of Ohio State ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

From there, Buhler looked at the great job Mario Cristobal is doing recruiting at his alma mater of Miami, as well as hoping Jon Sumrall becomes a patient man while leading Florida.

To wrap this thing up, Buhler looked at what the Miami RedHawks did under Travis Steele this season on the hardwood and tried to forecast what Power Four teams could go undefeated in the regular season on the gridiron next year.

It may still be the heart of the offseason, but it's gotta be False Start!

After that, the guys ranked the best and worst head coaches in the Big 12, all before seeing what The Atheltic's Ralph Russo had to say about the future of coaching in the Power Four.

To tie a bow on this program, Buhler asked Cody about if Fernando Mendoza's magical 2025 season at Indiana could be replicated for a Heisman Trophy virgin school before taking this thing off the track with some good, old-fashioned LSR.
