I was often the "quiet" one and rarely spoke up at meetings, social settings, etc. unless I was called on. It was safer to be forgettable than memorable. After "coasting" for so long, I truly realized that tomorrow is not guaranteed. I just had to go for it. I now hold myself to a far higher standard and want that for other people as well.
