Fat, Bossy & Lazy. Can I Leave My Father? We discussed the case of a daughter with a chequered relationship with her father who is elderly and has various other complications. As he is not grateful, helpful, is lacking in respect for himself and others and will not help himself, she is asking; can I leave my dad to fend for himself without feeling guilty? Is he my responsibility when the rest of the family have given up?
