What do you do with your questions about God, faith, and life? This fall at FPC, we’re going to be reflecting on the Apostles’ Creed, the central summary of Christian teaching. The stories of King David are some of the most well-worn in the world: David the shepherd, David defeating Goliath, David seducing Bathsheba in his Jerusalem palace. David’s story is earthy, human- in fact, it’s the longest single narrative of a human being in the Bible. In the stories of David, the Scriptures depict a human life at is very best and its very worst. This summer, we’re listening to the story of David- a human life both fascinating and flawed- so that we can learn to pay attention to the work of God in our own earthy, fascinating, flawed lives.

    Scripture: 2 Samuel 22:1-20
