This series begins in the timeline three years after Patch Kincaid’s death in France. Ray Meinkwitz and Phineas Beauregard are in Vermont, playing a cat and mouse game with CIA and overshadowed by the graves of Patch Kincaid and Natalie Tomkins on the mountainside hill overlooking Wilton Jefferies’s farm. For the intel operatives and Meinkewitz and Phinney the arrival of a descendant of Patch Kincaid from two hundred and fifty years in the dystopian future changes the status quo. In this future world artificial life reigns supreme because of something President Nixon did or did not do that allowed the National Security State to gain control. Like the Patch Kincaid Series the Nixon Theorem volumes are interspersed with the researched depths of history, in this case the Watergate Scandal. These revelations can be viewed as veins of a precious metal within the unraveling of Amanda Zimmerman’s quest to prevent the subjugation and elimination of humans in the future. Many only remember the Watergate break in and coverup. The historical perspective in Volume One sets the context and meaning of what happened to Richard Nixon’s presidency in Volume Two. The perennial question is simple and straight forward. Will we be cognizant of what lurks in the centuries ahead or will we mealy live our lives oblivious to the self-inflected annihilation of our hopes and dreams for our species? Robert P.
