Flexibility at work - something every working adult wants. Not many are lucky enough to have it. Singapore recently announced guidelines for Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) requests to put in place processes around requesting and considering FWAs. While the guidelines are to help enable employees to achieve better work-life harmony, and give employers a competitive advantage in talent attraction and retention, there have been concerns including those on implementation and the impact on productivity. On Viewpoint, Minister of State for Manpower Gan Siow Huang sheds light on some misconceptions and myths about the guidelines.
