Today’s episode of Game’s Gone takes us back to perhaps the nadir of the England men’s national team where, after a shocking Euro 2016 exit, Big Sam Allardyce took the vacant manager’s job as the best solution of a bad bunch. That was until he really wasn’t, just 66 days later.

After only one match, an elaborate newspaper sting and (supposedly) a pint of wine in a fancy Chinese restaurant, Allardyce was gone. Join Marcus, Vish and Jim as they look back on a confusing, bizarre and depressing episode for English football. Still, at least we got Gazza Southgate out of it!
