  • 4 Transforming Principles When You Communicate With God
    Mar 11 2026

Communication is a major challenge in any relationship.

    FAMILY: SPOUSE, CHILDREN, PARENTS.

FRIENDSHIPS: COMMUNICATION CAN BE EASILY MISUNDERSTOOD.

WORKPLACE: TECHNOLOGY IS HOW SO MUCH COMMUNICATION IS DONE; SO THESE WAYS VIA TEXTING OR EMAIL CAN BE TERRIBLY MISUNDERSTOOD.

CHURCH: MAY BE ONE OF THE PLACES AND PEOPLE WHERE COMMUNICATION IS MANY TIMES INEFFECTIVE AND CHALLENGING.

Often, our communication with God is also ineffective and transactional. However, our communication with God should be meaningful and transformative.

  • Jesus Vision For Our Life and Church #vision #church #leadership
    Feb 25 2026

As many of you know, I am serving in this season as the Interim Pastor of Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas — a historic and faithful congregation with a rich legacy of gospel ministry. It is a true honor to serve the people who call Grand Avenue home. This past Sunday, I delivered a message entitled “Jesus’ Vision for Our Life and Church.” While this sermon was prepared with the people of Grand Avenue and the Fort Smith community specifically in mind, its message speaks to every believer and every church. I want to use this episode of the For Leader podcast to share it with you. I invite you to watch or listen and ask the Lord to speak to you through His Word. May He align our hearts with His vision for our lives and His Church.

  • Walking with the Lord
    Feb 18 2026

Whatever your occupation and vocation may be, you need to consider this subject today very seriously and strategically. Most of you who listen to or watch this podcast are followers of Jesus Christ; therefore, walking with the Lord should be one of the greatest desires in your life. If you are a genuine follower of Jesus, you know already how much Jesus Christ makes a difference in your life. Therefore, it is imperative that we have a conversation this week about “Walking With The Lord.” Please share this podcast with every Jesus follower you know, regardless of what their occupation or vocation may be.

One of the most important subjects in the Scriptures is our subject this week: “Walking With The Lord.” Colossians 2:6 says, “As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” A walk with Jesus Christ unfolds step by step and decision by decision. While some parts of this walk are due to God’s activity in our lives, the other parts should be us initiating this walk with the Lord daily. In fact, it should deepen and become even more disciplined as you mature in Christ.

  • The Complexity of Relationship: 5 Realities to Keep in Mind
    Feb 4 2026

I have long believed in the value and blessing of relationships. Yet I am very aware of the challenges and complexities of relationships, and I completely realize they can be highly rewarding and fulfilling.

Every person is different. They have various gifts, many preferences, and are sometimes completely unaware of their own weaknesses. People communicate in different ways, and sometimes their methods can make things even more complicated.

This is why we need to remember the tremendous insight I learned from a former seminary professor of mine, who is now in heaven. Dr. Oscar Thompson used to say: “The gospel of Jesus Christ travels on the tracks of relationships.” This is also true about love. Love travels on the tracks of a relationship.
