À propos de cet audio

Forgotten Wars covers the conflicts overlooked in popular history. Journey to World War One in East Africa with an undefeated German General, trek across Siberia during the Russian Revolution with a lost Czech legion, watch as Britain bombards Chinese forts in service to the Opium trade, and find out if a war actually started because of a football result.

Expect bravery, incompetence, fascinating figures and incredible drama.

What a difference 3 months can make. Yet by May Franco's forces were on the verge of victory in the north, after destroying the town of Guernica with the help of the German Condor Legion. Meanwhile a civil war within a civil war raged behind the Republican lines, as the anarchists and Communists battled for dominance in Barcelona. #history #historynerd #war #worldwar2 #spain
