Following a brief hiatus after an illustrious playing and coaching career, Roger Ward decided to bring collegiate summer baseball to his home town of Great Bend, Kansas. Against great odds, and overcoming the negative impact left from a previous failed baseball franchise, Roger has established a team built on hard work, community involvement and blue collar baseball. The Great Bend Bat Cats have been one of the most consistent teams in the Jayhawk Collegiate League since their inception in 2014. Get to know Roger and be sure to listen for how his mother influenced his love of the game and drives him to succeed today.
