While ancient Israel bowed to gods like Molech, Ishtar, and Baal, modern believers face subtler idols—comfort, success, entertainment, control, and even family.

Using Deuteronomy 6 as a foundation, this sermon outlines five practical ways to keep God first: loving God with everything we are, guarding our hearts, teaching God’s truth in our homes, keeping God’s Word constantly before us, and staying spiritually vigilant. We are challenged to examine what we have elevated above the Lord and to remove anything that competes with Him.
