  • Jannik Lawaetz: How to fund growth via crowdfunding
    Jul 14 2020

It’ s summertime and in Get Savvy this week, we plunge into the pool of questions related to raising capital. We want to talk about equity crowdfunding and learn how you set up a crowdfunding campaign. Which type of companies does this external source of capital fit, and is it true that preparations for a successful campaign is equivalent to an IPO?

To find out, we invited Jannik Lawaetz, the serial entrepreneur who made his first exit when he was 14 years old. Jannik is a passionate business leader who can’t seem to stay away from entrepreneurship even when he´s tried. He is the founder and the CEO of the Copenhagen-based company, LuggageHero, the leading luggage-storage network, who is bucking the trend by showing that investing in travel startups is not over during the corona pandemic. Through successful crowd-sourced campaigns LuggageHero can be found in 36 cities across North America and Europe and in 2019 they acquired their biggest American competitor, Knock Knock City.
