  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 27) - "The Price"
    Oct 27 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

The record fights itself, playing backward and forward as Silas reveals that every horror Margaret creates demands payment—the hungry children are eating real parents, the impossible building is consuming actual structures, and Margaret herself is dissolving, becoming less real as her creations become more solid. The town calls flood in: the hospital is collapsing as the fictional morgue eats it, seventeen families are trapped in the sinking apartment building, and twelve parents have been taken by hunting children who are real enough to kill but not solid enough to stop.

The recording suddenly plays Margaret's own voice from Halloween night, revealing she's not the creator but just a stylus—something else is playing through her, needing thirty anchors to manifest, and she'll become the final horror. The real Margaret Blackwood appears, showing proof that October 1974 was normal until this void wearing her face made it real—she's not Margaret but the hungry nothing that ate Margaret, creating itself through her history. When the real Margaret shoots the record player, scattering all recordings across the floor, the created horrors flicker between real and unreal, leaving three days and three recordings to either complete or uncreate everything—but now the void knows the truth: it IS the horror, almost complete.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 26) - "The Binding"
    Oct 26 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

The town council attempts the binding ritual with iron circles and salt barriers, but Silas's voice on the recording sounds uncertain, describing people who look unfinished—then he breaks through with a terrible revelation: the recordings aren't documentation but incantations, and Margaret isn't listening to history, she's CREATING it with every recording she plays. Margaret discovers all the 1974 newspapers are blank until she looks at them, the text appearing as she creates retroactive history, while Mayor Davidson calls to say he's transforming into the scaled creature because she heard him that way.

The twenty-five horrors she's created manifest NOW—Lucy Henderson and the hungry children pressing against her windows, the half-formed Davidson-thing, Clara still pregnant, all freshly created and desperate—revealing Margaret isn't a witness but a broken god speaking nightmares into existence. The created horrors beg her to either complete all thirty recordings so the Pattern collapses under its own weight, or play them backward to unspeak them, as Margaret discovers the record player has always had settings for CREATE and UNCREATE. The final revelation: Margaret isn't Margaret Blackwood but the void where she should be—the missing thirty-first family, the mouth that speaks reality—and all her creations are begging her to complete them or erase them, but not leave them half-real and suffering.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 25) - "The Survivor"
    Oct 25 2025
Clara Mitchell, the only survivor from 1924, has been in Millbrook Asylum for fifty years, pregnant the entire time with Benjamin, her never-born son who's been gestating in reverse, getting younger until he becomes nothing—she survived by agreeing to carry one of the thirty inside her forever, but her body is now just hollow skin wrapped around a womb. When Margaret arrives at the asylum that's about to un-exist, Clara's transparent torso reveals the backward-aging baby with ancient eyes, whose mouth contains the entire flooded town of Millbrook, explaining he'll be born as nothing on Halloween and consume everything in an anti-birth that un-creates creation.

Clara pushes Margaret's transparent arm into her womb where Margaret experiences all future Patterns—2075, 2125, 2175—revealing they never stop, while the tiny Millbrooks in her arm become pregnant with their own deaths. The asylum begins shrinking and un-constructing around them, returning to never-having-been as Clara reveals the ninth point isn't a place but an un-place, a never-was that all of Millbrook will become. Margaret finds her own birth certificate dated October 31st, 1774, marked "Status: Unborn," revealing none of them were ever born—they're all still in the womb, waiting to be delivered into nothing.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare - {Episode 24) - "The Cover-up"
    Oct 24 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

Mayor Davidson demonstrates the town's supernatural isolation to Silas—every call for help becomes weather chat, every evidence photo becomes a family portrait, every letter about deaths becomes mundane requests, because the town charter is written on living skin that rewrites all communication with the outside world. Margaret wakes up leaking water from her human parts while Davidson reveals he's not Davidson but the thing that's worn the Davidson family like suits since 1774, showing her the real charter written in blood on flesh that depicts Millbrook being summoned from the lake, not founded.

Through the charter, Margaret sees the truth: there is no town above water, just shadows moving on a lake bed, all of them ghosts who don't know they're dead, kept unaware by the charter's translation filter. Davidson rips off Margaret's scaled arm when it writes "THE CHARTER IS HIS BODY," then eats it before revealing he IS Millbrook itself—every building his bone, every street his vein, every person his cell. Margaret's new transparent arm grows back containing a miniature Millbrook with tiny people inside, recursively drowning in infinite smaller towns within towns, each tiny Margaret playing recordings and dissolving as they become too real to exist in a place where only dreams and lies can breathe.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 23) - "The First Death"
    Oct 23 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

Thomas Brennan, ninety-three years old, reveals he actually died in 1924 at age forty-two—drowned in his bedroom with no water present—but got up the next morning and has been dying in reverse for fifty years with his heart beating backward, pulling blood in instead of pushing out. In his gravity-confused house where furniture exists on ceilings, Thomas demonstrates his death by separating into age layers on his bed, drowning in water that doesn't exist until a smaller water-Thomas crawls from his corpse's mouth, explaining "it" kills you then wears you while you remain conscious inside.

When Thomas pulls Margaret into a mirror, she sees the truth: everyone in Millbrook is a fragment of Sarah Blackwood's shattered death from 1774, not people but pieces of an ending that won't stop. The room floods with real water revealing an underwater neighborhood where hundreds of dead Brennans live in perpetual drowning, and when Margaret breathes water instead of air, she experiences being everyone and no one simultaneously. After Thomas pulls her back and melts into water himself, Margaret's scaled arm has written "TOMORROW" obsessively across all its scales, knowing something crucial will happen in the next recording.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 22) - "The Seance"
    Oct 22 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

Silas discovers the 1924 séance was led by Sarah Blackwood who had been dead for three days, soaking wet and dripping minnows from her mouth while the other students somehow saw her as "radiant"—the dead were contacting the living, teaching them not to see death. Margaret finds the séance room existing in both 1974 and 2025 simultaneously, where eight versions of Sarah/Elizabeth reveal they were never different people but one corpse split across eight bodies, all pregnant with water, birthing the thirty families from one dead woman who forgot she was dead.

Davidson appears in his 1924 college uniform, rotting Margaret's arm with his touch until she's dying, forcing her to choose between death or drinking his preservation solution—but she summons the twenty wrong Margarets who tear into Davidson, revealing he's made of newspaper underneath. The seven other séance participants' faces clarify into all the Pattern's victims—Mrs. Davidson, Nurse Holloway, the bus driver—all dead before the séance began, revealing they didn't make a deal with "it," they ARE "it" wearing human faces. Margaret's arm regrows scaled and wrong after drinking the solution, now writing on its own that the séance never ended and she's still dead in that circle.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 21) - "The Convergence"
    Oct 21 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

All thirty marked families arrive at the library, but they're not separate anymore—they're merging into one impossible body with the Davidsons as a leg with screaming faces in the kneecap, the Pattersons as an arm with children's mouths for fingers, and the congregation twisted into organs that pray and sing. The twenty wrong Margarets melt into this mass as it reaches for Margaret with appendages that shouldn't exist—hands made of tongues, fingers that are entire arms—trying to absorb her as the witness that gives their meat meaning. Father Williams tears through the convergence with his inverted body existing inside and outside simultaneously, revealing the merger is actually digestion—making thirty small pieces into one easy-to-swallow mass—and pulls Margaret free though she leaves layers of skin behind.

At the fountain, the original Sarah Blackwood still stands pregnant after 251 years, offering Margaret a choice: merge with the thirty-family mass to become the Pattern itself, or merge with Sarah to become poison—either way, they're getting eaten. The entire town converges toward the fountain as buildings lean together and drivers fuse with cars, while Margaret realizes she's already split between two convergences, dissolving into the space between choosing.

  • The October Records - A Month-Long Halloween Nightmare (Episode 20) - "The Hunter"
    Oct 20 2025
Check out our Halloween Pop-up Channel here.

Jacob Mitchell has been hunting something through the woods for three days, following black sap and boiling footprints, not realizing he's being herded while the forest itself remembers being lake bottom. Aaron Mitchell, stretched with extra joints and extending thirty feet tall, leads Margaret to his grandfather's body from 1974—transformed into a living tree with transparent bark showing working organs, growing cocoons that birth dozens of wrong versions of Margaret with antlers, compound eyes, and backward torsos.

The Mitchells aren't hunters but living webs strung through the canopy, while the Margaret-things reveal "it" isn't a creature but the relationship between predator and prey—the moment of the pounce itself. Twenty more malformed Margarets wait at the library, explaining they'll watch her die on Halloween then eat each other until only one perfect version remains. The forest keeps rearranging itself as Aaron's body weaves through the trees like a spider, telling Margaret she's both hunter and hunted, chasing herself through time while already caught in the web.
