  • CO Spotlight: Financing Account Receivables risk with Acer's Christian Greisberger
    Jan 18 2026

Welcome to the first in our new series of Captive Owner Spotlights for 2026, supported by the EY Global Captive Network.

Over the next 12 months we will produce dedicated episodes that feature in-depth conversations with risk and insurance professionals that have a story or experience to share, concerning their own companies’ utilisation of a captive.

In this episode, we hear from Chris Greisberger, Head of Global Risk Management at Taiwanese computer hardware giant Acer.

Chris has implemented a custom Account Receivables risk insurance programme that heavily involves the captive, is supported by the commercial market and is powered by the company's own internal risk assessment of customers.

In a 35-minute discussion, Chris explains how this was achieved, the underlying logic behind the programme and why he believes more companies need to be exploring a similar solution.

We are also joined by Malcolm Cutts-Watson, one of the independent non-executive directors for Acer's Guernsey captive, and he provides his own iNED view on the programme and how it is run.

Chris is open to hearing from fellow captive owners who may want to explore or learn more about Account Receivables risk. If you would like to get in touch with him, please contact Richard by email or LinkedIn.

If you are a Captive Owner and have an innovative or unique case study to share, then do not hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in featuring in our Captive Owner Series.
