  • A Prayer for Boldness
    Nov 10 2025

After being suffering persecution and being threatened for sharing the gospel, Peter, John, and the early church pray for boldness to continue proclaiming the good news of Jesus in spite of the consequences that may come. Life in the Spirit is the same for us today. As we depend on the Spirit, He will lead us to pray for boldness and to be used in God's Kingdom work through us no matter what situations and circumstances we find ourselves in.

  • No Other Name Under Heaven (Acts 4:1-22)
    Nov 3 2025

In Acts 4, Peter declares that there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. He and John are unschooled, ordinary men who had been filled with the Holy Spirit and given courage to speak truth in love to the powerful religious elite of their day who were out to punish them. Life in the Spirit means that God can take ordinary people and do extraordinary things in them and through them!

  • Peter Heals a Lame Beggar (Acts 3:1-10)
    Oct 20 2025

In Acts 3:1-10, Peter heals a lame beggar in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. He provides practical help and eternal hope to someone who probably felt invisible to most of the world. Life in the Spirit will look the same for us today. The Spirit will lead us to notice the invisibles in our world and to provide practical help and eternal hope.

    Oct 13 2025

Koinonia is the Greek term used to describe the unique relationship that gets experienced together through a common faith in Jesus. It's what we see in the early church in Acts 2:42-47, and it's what we will experience as believers today through Life in the Spirit.

  • I Will Pour Out My Spirit (Acts 2:14-41)
    Oct 6 2025

What does it mean when God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on all people?" In Acts 2, Peter quotes Joel 28 to show the fulfillment of that promise coming true at Pentecost. As a result, anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved... their sins will be forgiven, and they will receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:17... In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
