A long-awaited Anna the artist summarized lore! We're joining the 2016 vs 2026 trend for another reason -- 2016 is the year I started making art. I didn't consider myself as the artsy kind before. So you can say I was a late bloomer! Like most people, I've lived so many different lives and story arcs these past few years so the 2016 vs 2026 reflection prompt was truly fun and nostalgic. Nicole is a Marikina-based non-binary creative whose works focus on mental health awareness and body love. She is a resident artist at Tusok Studios (Manila) and Plyful Inks (Makati). She incorporates the gentle method of handpoke tattooing with meditation and inviting good energy. Her abstract ornamental pieces, which she fondly calls ‘talking bodies’, only ever aim to help folks feel more at home in their skin. On other days, she is an outdoor experience facilitator and hobby collector.
