This meditation comes from a 2016 study published in the journal of Psychology and Psychotherapy. The research found that by savouring a positive memory, feelings of warmth, social safeness and calm were increased, while negative feelings were decreased. Also a 2014 study conducted at the University of Portsmouth showed that positive reflections on the past can be a significant source of happiness.
