À propos de cet audio

Healthy Minds is Calderdale's independent mental health charity. In this audio project, we use our radio show to open up conversations about mental health. Join us to explore the variety of community-based responses to mental health issues, listening to people with lived experience of mental health challenges and hearing from local organisations. On our journey, we also search for the meaning of Healthy Minds, looking for what we can learn as an organisation from our guests along the way. We broadcast our radio show on our local community radio station Phoenix FM 96.7 every four weeks.Healthy Minds Radio Hygiène et mode de vie sain Psychologie Psychologie et santé mentale

  • Teeth and tongue: the power of storytelling with Ese Ne Tekyerema
    Dec 18 2023

This month we take a deep dive into the story of chocolate, hearing the lived experience voices behind one of our favourite foods of the festive season.

Our guests Adelle and Nana-Essi from EnT Foundation (Ese ne Tekyerema - the 'teeth and tongue') teach us about the power of storytelling, challenging the hierarchies of western-centred knowledge systems, and the ways we can re-frame mindfulness practices to encompass a 'glocal' (global-local) way of thinking about mental wellbeing.

If you have a piece of chocolate available - keep it close by - but don't unwrap it yet! Our guests will let you know the right moment as they take you through the 'KoKoo Mindfulness' mindful eating practice.
