À propos de cet audio
Our storytellers are LuHi Math Teacher Mr. Dwinell and LuHi junior Brody Burt. Both share about the moment something shifted - when they realized it was time to take their academics (and their responsibility) more seriously.
But here’s what we don’t want your takeaway to be: Grades are the most important thing. Not even close! Instead, we hope you hear that it’s about motivation, ownership, and doing the work. Because effort is what really matters.
The reflection questions for this week are:
- What part of the taking-high-school-seriously stories stuck with you?
- Has there been a moment in life when you realized you needed to step up?
- What were the motivating factors?
- What motivates you today?
We hope you continue the conversation by reflecting on these questions with your student and maybe even sharing what your high school experience was like. You can also share your reflections and feedback with us! Email us at podcast@lhsparker.org
Next week, our theme is: Finding Your Purpose
See you then!
