À propos de cet audio
Welcome back to Retro Life 4 You, where we dive deep into the movies that defined the 80s and 90s!
Today’s episode blasts off—literally—as we look at the 1986 family sci-fi adventure SpaceCamp, directed by Harry Winer.
SpaceCamp follows a group of teenage space camp attendees who unexpectedly find themselves launched into space after a robot malfunction triggers a shuttle ignition. Suddenly forced into a real-life NASA emergency, the young crew must work together, think fast, and rely on their training if they want to make it home safely.
It’s a movie fueled by 80’s optimism, NASA fandom, and the belief that kids could do anything—even command a space shuttle.
