October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Today we have Amanda McCarthy from our IT department joining us to talk about cybersecurity and offer some suggestions on creating safe online practices at home and when you access the internet in public places.

On Monday, August 12th, the Board of Education passed a resolution to exceed the revenue cap in the amount of $5 million on a recurring basis for the purpose of paying Hudson School District operation, maintenance, and staffing costs. “Starting school”! Even our littlest learners in the district get excited about the idea of school starting for them. They may only go for 2 ½ hours but it can really make a difference in setting the stage for an impactful school career.

Most of us would agree that we have some strong memories of high school.  Probably some really great ones, but if you’re like me, you also have some core memories that weren’t so great (stress, loneliness, pressure, worry, frustration).  As parents we often parent based on our own experiences but times have changed, kids are given different opportunities now and all kids have different experiences, so how can we parent our high school children through some really challenging years and help them to be successful 18 year olds ready for that next phase after high school.
