Mervin is bravely running the show and envisages a wonderful, welcoming, weekend Wivenhoe Woodstock, with Donny lending an unwilling hand. But with the sun already well over the yard arm, a field full of drunken city teenagers, students, hippies, bikers, outraged local poets, a lot of very dodgy music, and with the gods yet to be appeased, can calamity be far away?
