Remember Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Christopher Walken & Michelle Pfeiffer. Sure, you do. It ushered in a whole era of men wanting their girlfriends or wives to dress up as Catwoman, and it didn't even have to be Halloween. Well, this one takes place over the Christmas Holidays, so we're picking it as a Holiday Film. With an all-star cast, Tim Burton returning, we are signing up to watch '90s Batman fight the Penguin and Catwoman during the Holiday Season, and we'll see if this is a nostalgic gift under the tree or a lump of coal in the stocking.

Remember Die Hard, the perfect Christmas Action Movie? Well, it had a brother called Die Harder, and it too was a Christmas Action Movie. It doesn't get as much attention because it was a sequel. But it had a bigger budget, bigger explosions, a bigger body count, and it made a lot more money. We talk about Die Hard all the time, but this year we're going back to 1990 and watch the Christmas sequel. This time, John McLean gets stuck at an airport waiting for his wife to land, and it gets taken over by mercenaries who start doing all sorts of terrorist-y things. We remember loving this movie, and we can't wait to add it to our List of Holiday Action Movies to watch. Unless it sucks.

Do you remember the 90s action-packed sci-fi extravaganza Armageddon starring like everyone? Directed by Michael “Blow It Up” Bay and produced by Mr. Blockbuster himself, Jerry Bruckheimer. Everyone said it was stupid, but it made a KAJILLION dollars. So join us as we join Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Ben Affleck, Owen Wilson, Liv Tyler, Will Patton, Steve Buscemi, and a bunch more for the movie that is Special Effects Heavy if not a little light on the reality of Science.

Not Bryan Singer's sequel to the Superman Film starring Brandon Routh. The Original Superhero Blockbuster. Superman! Starring Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman, Marlon Brando, Margot Kidder, and Ned Beatty. The actual OG Superman Movie. Is it as awesome as our childhood memory remembers it being? Remember Thirteen Ghosts from 2001? This remake of a '60s ghost story was part of a heavy CGI trend during the late 90s and early 2000s. It starred Matthew Lillard, Tony Shalhoub & Shannon Elizabeth, and thirteen pisssed off Ghosts. We don't remember a whole lot except that the ghosts were actually cool and creepy.

We remember loving this movie, and what's not to love? It has all the Classic Monsters. Dracula? Check. Wolfman? Check. Frankenstein? Check. A Mummy? Check. That Lizard thing from a Lagoon? Check. Throw in a bunch of kids trying to fight to save a town that doesn't believe in monsters, as stranger and stranger things keep happening all around them. Now that is a recipe for a fun Halloween movie. Or it is a totally lame 80s movie that bombed for a reason.

Romero, and we remember loving it. This is what George A. Romero could do with a budget, and it was big, gory, and fun. At least that's how we remember it anyway.
