Tua Tagovailoa threw 4 touchdown passes, De’Von Achane and Ollie Gordon ran for over 100 combined yards, and the defense played its best game of the season, as the Miami Dolphins destroyed the Atlanta Falcons 34-10 for their 1st road win in what was easily their best performance of the season.
How bad was it? The Dolphins (2-6) pretty much doubled or tripled up the Falcons from the top to the bottom of the stat sheet.
Tua- a week removed from one of the worst games of his career- went 20-26 for 206 yards and TD tosses to Achane, Malik Washington, Jaylen Waddle and Gordon.
Achane ran for 67 yards on 18 carries, while Gordon ran it 10 times for 46 yards, and they each had their touchdown catch.
Jordyn Brooks led the inspired effort that saw Miami hold one of the NFL’s best rushing offenses to just over 30 yards in the ground. Brooks went off for 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 for a loss) and a sack.
The Falcons- playing without starting QB Michael Penix- didn’t score a touchdown until just over 6:00 remained in the game.
