À propos de cet audio
It’s another Shed away-day, with Simon making a flying visit to Wing in Rutland, where, in a studio burrowed into the bottom of her garden, Angela Harding is inspired to create some of the most beaiutiful and recognisable illustrations of recent times. Her images of animals, birds and both coastal and rural landscapes have graced the pages of some of our best known and most beloved writers, from Melissa Harrison to Isabella Tree, as well as an up and coming chancer called Simon Armitage. Angela's passion for experimentation with form, moving between linocut, printing and etching throughout her career, has paid dividends, with her work now available not just as prints but on a whole variety of gift items, a fact she's rightly proud of. Simon has a bit of a bone to pick though, with Angela responsible for the images on some particularly fiendish jigsaws that have kept him from his work one too many times. With cuppa in hand, thanks to our friends over at Yorkshire Tea, these issues are ironed out, as the pair share their passions for the natural world and show why they make such fantastic collaborators. Simon also has a very private secret to share with Angela, whose approval he's desperate to seek.
