 Join me as I introduce you to a dear friend of mine Todd Giihlgiigaa to hear an introduction to his story and experience of being part of the “60’s scoop” and his personal struggle to find his Haida Gwaii roots. We listen to Todd’s moving story of discovering he was one 8th Haida and going back to his Clan and the original Teachings of his Uncle Woody. Todd vulnerably shares his experiences of being alienated from his adoptive family, his own Grandmother and the Haida community. He continues to seek methods of reconnecting back to the Heart of who he is. He shares some of threads we will dive deeper into on future episodes and inspires others to look to the Roots and open to the Teachers and Elders that can pass the Indigenous First Nations wisdom on. Todd is a Haida Knowledge Keeper, a Weaver, a Storyteller and a Teacher of everything his uncle Woody taught him before he passed on to the Spirit realm and all that he is still learning from him through his Haida gifts of dreaming and scrying. Todd is a really open and compassionate person you can learn from. I hope everyone receives something that helps them on their Journey from hearing his story.. and it’s only part 1!
