In recent weeks many people have been exposed to deeply disturbing information circulating online and in the media. For some, this has created anxiety, anger, compulsive researching, emotional numbness, or a feeling of psychological overload.
This episode is not an investigation of events or individuals.
Instead, we explore what happens inside the human nervous system when we encounter material that challenges our assumptions about the world.
