With a PhD in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia, Virginia brings both rigor and heart to her work, blending data-driven insight with deep community listening. She currently supports more than 40 county-level collaboratives and works closely with initiatives like the Georgia Family Connection Partnership and Healthy Savannah, focusing on issues ranging from childhood obesity and mental wellness to housing access and food security. Her approach is grounded in care, equity, and the belief that thriving is unique to every individual and every community. Whether preparing healthy meals for families at a community walk, hiking with women in her group “Roots and Wings,” or crafting poetry that captures the soul of her work, Virginia walks with fierce compassion and a steadfast commitment to walking each other home.
