  • Anna Wilson and Mike Turner
    Nov 8 2025
This Friday, November 7, 2025, at 7 pm CST Live, Episode #74 of Into the Fire. I am honored to have both Anna Wilson and Mike Turner, who are brother and sister to Latricia Fipps. Latricia called her family on November 20, 2002 to let them know that she was with her ex-boyfriend to go and pick up her kids, and that was the last time she was heard from again.
This will be an interesting episode to hear the perspective from both brother and sister to Latricia and the investigation that took place from the beginning then on to charges being filed. This is the 14th No-Body Homicide Prosecution in Oklahoma History, and one of only 600 that have ended up in a courtroom in US History...
I am thankful to both Anna and Mike for their willingness to share there story about their experience and my experience as the final detective in this case who fought for justice to be served....

This Friday, October 24, 2025 at 7:00 pm, Episode #69, a pre-record episode with Sharon Phillips, who is an investigative reporter with Channel 2 News in Tulsa. Born and raised in the heart of Tulsa, Sharon Phillips isn't just reporting the news—she's living it.
As a multi-Emmy nominated journalist with over 15 years of broadcast excellence, she's become the trusted voice that Tulsa turns to for the stories that matter most.
From the anchor desk at KJRH's weekend evening newscasts to the streets pursuing her acclaimed investigative series Oklahoma's Cold Case Files, Sharon brings an unmatched combination of journalistic rigor and genuine compassion to every story she tells. Her Oklahoma State University broadcast journalism training laid the foundation, but it's her natural gift for connecting with people that sets her apart.
    A Master of Human Connection
Sharon possesses that rare ability to make people feel safe enough to share their deepest truths. Whether she's investigating cold cases that have haunted families for years or covering breaking news, she approaches every interview with the empathy of a mother and the instincts of a seasoned investigator. Her philosophy is simple but profound: always leave people better than you found them.
    Recognition That Speaks Volumes
Her trophy case tells the story: Emmy nominations, Society of Professional Journalists awards, Great Plains Journalism Awards, and Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters honors. But the real measure of Sharon's impact isn't in the awards—it's in the lives changed, the cold cases reopened, and the community conversations sparked by her fearless reporting.
    Community Champion
When the cameras stop rolling, Sharon's commitment to Tulsa continues. She's lent her voice and time to Emergency Infant Services, The Ronald McDonald House, Joy in the Cause, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, The American Red Cross, and Meals on Wheels—because great journalism extends beyond the newsroom.
    Life Beyond the Lens
At home, Sharon treasures her greatest role: mom to daughters Aerilyn and Eden, and wife to husband Bobby. Their rescued Golden Retriever Sophie and French Bulldog Cupcake complete a family that values adventure, whether they're cruising to exotic destinations or discovering a new local restaurant. Sharon's perfect evening might include a warm bath, the latest People magazine, and a Dateline marathon—the perfect blend of relaxation and her passion for true crime storytelling.
    Your Story Matters
Have a cold case that needs a fresh perspective? Sharon's inbox is always open at Sharon.Phillips@kjrh.com—because every untold story deserves a champion, and every family deserves answers.

This Friday, October 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm live, Episode #72, I have a special episode coming to you live from Los Angeles, California. I am honored to have a story of survival from a true hero.

Somehow, Casey managed to survive his injuries, but he struggled to heal not only physically but mentally. The healing process forced Casey to face his demons from nearly 25 years in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Weapons Team. At the urging of his family and closest friends, Casey turned his personal journal into this book, offering an intimate glimpse into his journey to regain his life and his participation in several significant law enforcement incidents, many of which you will recognize from their national news coverage.
He hopes his story will help others going through difficult times, as well as show what the members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department go through daily.
