  • Tyler Burns
    Sep 13 2025
On September 12, 2025, episode #66, I will feature, Tyler Burns from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. After working in public safety for over 10 years, Tyler finally stepped away from the field due to Post Traumatic Stress, aka PTSD. Since leaving completely in 2022, Tyler has struggled with the urge to go back, but realized it was better for himself and his family to stay “retired”.
Tyler realized there was a growing concern with first responders and healthcare workers struggling with mental health as a result of the job, and decided to start a podcast titled The Debrief with Tyler Burns. The show interviews people from around the country, giving them a platform to share their story so that others may learn from their lessons before suffering the same fate.
Realizing there is still more that needs to be done, Tyler started a nonprofit organization called Project 86. We will dive into what Project 86 is all about, among many other things for sure... Should be an informative episode...

  • Mike Elam, Dennis Hathcock, and Danny Cupples
    Sep 6 2025
This Friday, September 5, 2025, Episode #65 will feature Mike Elam, Dennis Hathcock, and Danny Cupples. Following a huge announcement last week from the Tennessee Attorney General and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at a press conference that following a reexamining of evidence from the 1967 murder of Pauline Pusser. Pauline and her husband, Sheriff Buford Pusser, who inspired the 1973 movie "Walking Tall", were allegedly ambushed in the early am hours of August 12, 1967.
The announcement was if Sheriff Pusser was still alive, there would be probable cause to believe Sheriff Pusser murdered his wife Pauline. Definitely a bombshell announcement, considering that Sheriff Pusser was considered an Iconic Figure in Tennessee law enforcement history....
Mike Elam is no doubt the reason this case was re-opened, and he shined a light on this case, that made it possible to get to where we are today....
Dennis Hatchcock, is not only a witness who actually showed up near the murder scene later that morning, but also tbe nephew of Louise Hathcock who was shot and killed by Sheriff Buford Pusser on February 1, 1966. In the movie Walking Tall, it shows her sitting at the bar with a sawed off shotgun in her lap at the Lucky Seven, which was not really what happened. Dennis's father ran the Plantation Club that in the movie, Pusser was cut up in and dumped on a rural road to die...
Danny who is also a relative of the Hathcock's and certainly a frequent co-host and guest to this podcast will also be joining us to help unpack the recent decision from the TBI... Will be interesting stuff no doubt...
