It was sad news this weekend on the recruiting front for fans of North Carolina basketball: Coleman Hawkins announced his transfer to Kansas State (although there wasn’t any UNC expectation, still disappointing when it’s finalized), Ulrich Chomche decided to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft, and Isiah Harwell (class of 2025 SG) cut his list to four and didn’t include the Tar Heels.

Turning to baseball, North Carolina went 1-1 this weekend at the College World Series. They picked up another walk-off win on Friday, beating Virginia, before falling to No. 1 national seed Tennessee on Sunday evening. Carolina missed opportunities and has been struggling to put runs on the board. They’ll look to rectify that on Tuesday afternoon in an elimination game vs. FSU.
