#JimPayne and #FergusOByrne, veterans of the Newfoundland and Labrador music scene with more than 100 years of experience in the business between them, will release a new CD this weekend! They joined Colleen for a conversation about the new album.
The album is entitled #WoodenBoats, and features traditional and original songs that reflect historical and contemporary life in this province, with topics ranging from life at sea to the building of the Newfoundland railway, from Beaumont Hamel to commentary on our provincial geography and a ditty on the possible existence of a lake monster on the northeast coast. A rollicking set of jigs wraps it all up.
Join Jim and Fergus, two of the province’s favourite songsters at the formal album release of Wooden Boats from 6-8 pm, Saturday, 02 November at @oreillyspubnl on George St.! Open to the general public with free admission.
