Welcome to the first in a five part series titled "50 YEARS OF HORROR!" My guests, Ben Lewandowski and Jonathan Schiffley, will by examining the cinematic horror offerings of each decade, starting with the 1970's, then the '80's, the 90's etc, and we will be picking one film from each year that we feel was the most important and most influential movie in the the horror genre.

Turn on the shower. Disrobe. Cue the music! Tonight, Ben Lewandowski and I consider the merits of the classic 1960 thriller PSYCHO, directed by the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock. As well as the very curious remake in 1998 directed by Gus Van Zant. This is an interesting one folks, since no other filmmaker has ever intentionally set out to copy a film to this degree. In 1980 Director John Carpenter released one of the finest ghost stories in cinema. 25 years later the film was remade, following the same blueprint for the most part while introducing new elements. Ben Lewandowski and I attempt to examine both films and offer our insights. Was the newer version up to snuff? Is the original a true classic? A must listen for Carpenter fans. Lots of discussion.
