Hey everyone! We made it! Two full seasons now. 32 books total that the brothers picked out for everyone to read. A whole bunch more in bonus episodes. It's been quite the ride. In this episode, the brothers are going to go over all the books they read this season, ranking them and comparing them to the first season. Then Joe is going to geek out on some stats and Alex is going to try and stump Joe in a little game he made up.

This may be the last episode of season 2. But fear not. There is a third season coming next month. The brothers have already picked their books for the season and are thinking up new and exciting bonus material. For all those people that want to be involved with the process, feel free to reach out. We will take book recommendations, recommendations for episode ideas, author interviews, or guest appearances. There will be no bonus episode this month. The brothers need a well deserved break. And a chance to get ahead. It was a real struggle at the end of this season to get everything together. Bonus episodes will be back next month.

That said, the first book of season three has been announced. Alex, who gets the traditional first pick of the show has set us up for a mystery. He picked The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith. Make sure you pick it up and read along with us, if that's your jam. Otherwise, we look forward to being in your ears next month.

Becky joins us for the last bonus episode of the season for one of her favorite books that she read this year. She tells Joe all about the book Come Fly the World by Julia Cooke and the amazing women who flew on Pan Am as stewardesses. It is an interesting story that Becky is clearly thrilled about. Welcome to our final book pick of season 2. This month the brothers read Joe's final pick, Hyperion by Dan Simmons. An epic sci-fi that not only won the Hugo in 1989, but also the brothers' hearts. Alex really knows how to cut this one down to the wire. He was enjoying this book so much that he didn't finish it until days before we needed to air the episode. To make it a tighter crunch, this is possibly the longest episode we have ever recorded. Luckily, Joe skipped all his grad school homework to make sure this episode made it out on time for all of you fans. We don't want to disappoint you guys.
