    Scriptures Referenced:

    • The Feast of Unleavened Bread isn’t just a historical remembrance but a living call to a purified righteous life in Christ, marked by the absence of sin (leaven) and the presence of His truth (1 Cor 5:6-8).
    • We can envision Jesus singing Psalm 114 with His disciples on the night of His betrayal and arrest (Mt 26:30, Mk 14:26).
    • Nature would be shaken in the finished work of Christ as He would grant God’s people a greater deliverance than Israel coming out of Egypt (Matt 27:45-54).

    Scriptures Referenced:

    • Jesus tempted by Satan in the wilderness (Lk 4:8).
    • Jesus is the light of the world. Whoever follows Him will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life because God is light and in Him there is no darkness (Jn 8:12, 1Jn 1:5).
    • The clearest picture of Christ as the Passover Lamb found in the Old Testament (1Co 5:7).
    • Mentioned more than any other feast in the Bible, Jesus isn’t just pictured by the Passover, He becomes its fulfillment (Heb. 11:28).

Today’s word of encouragement comes to you from Gloria Kruger.

    Scriptures Referenced:

    • it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure (Php 2:13).
    • May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (Eph 1:17-19).
    • In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory (Eph 1:13-14).

    Scriptures Referenced:

    • Israel entered Egypt being 70 people (Gn 46:27, Ex 1:5). 400 years later God has multiplied them to 600,000 men plus women and children (Ex 12:37).
    • God’s grace is sufficient for you, for [His] strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2Co 12:9-10).
    • As Christians we must learn not only to recognize the value of persecution, but also to humbly rejoice in it, because persecution has great spiritual value. Allowing us to share in unique fellowship with the Lord, persecution is a gift (Php 3:10, 1Pt 4:13).
