  • The Miracle You Never Saw Coming: Is That in the Bible?
    Jul 12 2025

What happens when the miracle you're praying for doesn't come in the way you expect? In this third part of our "Is That in the Bible?" series, filmed at The Chosen set, we're diving into "The Miracle You Never Saw Coming."

This week, we explore a profound conversation between Jesus and Little James from The Chosen Season 3, Episode 2 – “Two by Two.”

If you've ever felt disappointed when a prayer for healing seemed unanswered, you're not alone.

We'll unpack why it's crucial to acknowledge pain, and how to hold onto faith even in suffering. Discover how "pain has a problem," revealing "treasures of darkness" that God unveils in our hardest seasons. Most importantly, we'll learn that "pain is not your problem" when your life belongs to God, and how sometimes, the greatest mountain God moves is within your own heart. Join us to consider how to find sustaining grace when a dramatic miracle isn't the answer, and how God can use your pain to impact others. This message will encourage you to lean into weakness and experience God's strength.

  • Getting Off The Ground: Is That in the Bible?
    Jul 4 2025

Ever felt stuck? Like you're never going to get through what you're facing, or find your way back to happiness?

If so, take heart and get ready to rise up! This is the second message in our "Is That in the Bible?" series, filmed at the set of The Chosen, where we explore how to break free and move forward.

In "Getting Off The Ground," we dive into John 5:1–15, a truly pivotal moment where Jesus reveals His identity as the Messiah in a way that was designed to shock and transform.

Just as The Chosen's creators, Dallas and Amanda Jenkins, want viewers to dig deeper into the Gospels, we're doing just that – helping build the Church by guiding you from screen to Scripture. Join us as we uncover crucial steps to overcoming life's obstacles, including how to identify false assumptions, ask challenging questions, discern the right voices to listen to, find the courage to do scary things, and make choices that lead to freedom.

No matter what's holding your heart down, in Jesus' name, you can get off the ground! We'll even tackle some fascinating textual variations in the biblical account, showing how they actually strengthen our trust in the New Testament's historicity.

Key Themes: Overcoming challenges, spiritual growth, biblical literacy, faith, trust in scripture, The Chosen, John 5, Jesus as Messiah.

  • Heartfelt Mornings - Small and Large Churches
    Jul 3 2025

On the 7:07am segment at Heartfelt Mornings, we dove into the fascinating dynamics of church size and attendance in post-pandemic America, unpacking two key articles: "Most Pastors Lead a Small Congregation, but Most Churchgoers Attend a Large Church" (Lifeway Research) and "What Church Do You Attend? Maybe More Than One, Survey Finds" (Hartford Institute).

We explored why most pastors serve small churches (70% with 100 or fewer attendees) while most churchgoers flock to larger ones, and how 46% of worshippers now engage with multiple congregations, blending in-person and online services.

We connected these trends to the Fourth of July, celebrating the freedom to worship, the unity of the church, and the call to serve communities with the gospel.
