The first time co-host Lauren spoke publicly about her lifelong physical disability, it was to a room full of incarcerated men graduating from an education program. It was then that she realized her career working with those in prison was no accident. Societal stigmas about disability and incarceration often overlap in harmful ways, but also in ways that can allow us to increase compassion for our fellow man.
