À propos de cet audio

What happens when you're the threat to your own survival. Making ourselves a priority by addressing the threats that come from within starts the conversation. A podcast focused on caring and improving the lives for those that give of themselves when there is nothing left to give. Although the program is primarily centered around the first responder, the life lessons and struggles are universal in nature. The program addresses and looks to improve the lives of first responders by addressing our personal, professional, financial, physical and mental health. Historically difficult conversations to have are normalized and stigmas associated with asking for help are removed.© 2025 Law Enforcement Life Coach / Sometimes Heroes Need Help Podcast Hygiène et mode de vie sain Psychologie Psychologie et santé mentale

  • Neil Schoepp / Execution Strategist for Blue-Collar Men
    Sep 8 2025

This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with former NYPD/NYFD execution strategist, Neil Schoepp. Neil and I discuss what's keeping you stuck and hesitating. More importantly, Neil explains the WHY? behind you not being where you want to be, and offers a roadmap on how to get there. Sit back and give this episode a listen and come way a better version of you for doing so.

Neil Schoepp spent 24 years in the firehouse and on the streets of NYC, where hesitation got people killed. Now he helps men kill hesitation before it kills their momentum. He turns over thinkers into Freedom Thinkers—men who execute, lead, and refuse to live life on autopilot. His FIREGROUND FRAMEWORK is forged from real chaos, and his 112M Freedom Thinkers mission is built to wake men up, get them moving, and put them back in command of their future.

  • Jenny Prohaska, PhD / Tactical Longevity / Anti-Fragility Programs that Shift Agency Culture
    Aug 25 2025

I absolutely loved the conversation I had this week with Psychologist, and CEO and creator of the Tactical Longevity Training Program, Jenny Prohaska, PhD. Jenny has been helping individuals and agencies to do the hard work that it takes to change, shift, and improve culture. Asking tough questions, getting to the cause and not the symptom is what she does best. I thought the message she left us with was one of empowerment and hope and it starts with asking "why".

I work with the people everyone else turns to in a crisis. That means law enforcement, fire service, emergency medicine, trauma teams, and high-stakes leaders. And I help them stay durable under pressure.

After years on the clinical front-lines treating trauma, brain injury, helping people adapt to life altering physical injury in both an academic hospital setting and in private practice, I saw firsthand what breaks people. I also saw what makes them come back stronger. That became the foundation of Tactical Longevity.

Tactical Longevity is not therapy. It’s applied psychological science engineered for high-stress, high-stakes environments. It’s designed to build anti-fragile professionals who lead better, think clearer, and recover faster when the pressure is on.

    My background includes:

    - Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, University of Kansas
    - Former Assistant Clinical Professor, University of Kansas Hospital Systems
    - Fellowship-trained in neuro-rehabilitation, brain injury, and forensic assessment
    - National presenter for International Association of Chief's of Police, FBI National Academy Associates, National Tactical Officers Association, and others
    - Developer of over 24 peer support teams across the nation, with consultation on nearly 50
    - Force Science Certified with specialization in Officer-Involved Shootings, Critical Incidents, and high-impact occupational injuries
    - Culture and organizational psychology for tactical teams

Today, I train leaders and teams across public safety, trauma medicine, and high-risk industries, delivering performance systems that reduce failure, shorten recovery, and prevent long-term psychological degradation.

If your role doesn’t allow for failure, burnout, or extended breaks, we should talk.
