The wise men didn’t show up to Jesus with a clearance bin gift. They didn’t pull something out of their pockets; the Bible says they opened their treasures. The Bible says when Jesus heard this, “He marveled.” Jesus, who was God in the flesh. The one that Paul said, “All things were made by him and for him.” The one that's the Alpha Omega, beginning and end, first and last. He marveled. What was he marveling about?All the way from Joshua to now. He's just met the first man that understood that in certain situations, God responds when a man or woman opens their mouth and speaks the word of faith.
