À propos de cet audio

Links to Messiah is where faith, family and the profound impact of the Jewish Messiah converge. Hi, I’m Rachel and was raised in a Messianic Jewish home where my parents ensured that my sisters and I understood our Jewish roots and how the Old Testament all pointed directly to our Messiah, Jesus.

We explore the Jewish roots of the Bible. We discuss the importance of understanding feasts and festivals. We highlight how these traditions are intricately linked to the narrative of the Jewish Messiah.

Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Jewish New Year or the Feast of Trumpets, is a time of reflection, repentance, and remembering God’s goodness. In this episode, Rachel shares the deeper meaning of the shofar, the ram’s horn, that calls God’s people to wake up and turn back to Him.

Through personal reflections of grief and hope, Rachel opens her heart about the loss of her son, David, and the comfort she finds in the promises of Scripture. Just as the shofar announces something important, we look forward to the day when the trumpet will sound, and Jesus will return. Until then, we are called to live in faith, draw closer to Him, and build family traditions that keep our eyes on the hope of His coming.

This episode will encourage you to pause, reflect on your own walk with the Lord, and embrace the joy of Rosh Hashanah as a reminder that our ultimate hope is found in Jesus.

  • Ep. 88 - Biblical Feasts Made Simple for Your Family (Feat. Stacie Loughrin)
    Sep 9 2025

In this episode, I sit down with my friend Stacie Loughrin, a homeschooling mom of six, who has such a heart for helping families grow in their faith. Stacie shares her journey of discovering the biblical feasts during a hard season in 2020, and how those rhythms completely transformed her family traditions and spiritual life.

We talk about what it looks like to practice Christian parenting that points kids back to God’s Word, and how the Sabbath has become one of the most joy-filled parts of her family’s week. Stacie’s new book, As For Me and My House, is written to make these biblical practices simple, doable, and life-giving. Inside, she includes easy-to-follow family devotionals, recipes, and activities that invite parents and kids to the table to pause, remember, and worship together.

If you’ve been looking for fresh ideas to weave faith into everyday life, celebrate the feasts in a way your kids will love, or simply strengthen your family’s faith journey, this conversation is for you. Stacie’s story is both practical and inspiring and I know you’ll walk away with encouragement for your own home.
