    On today’s episode, you’ll hear my interview with Chinelo Onwualu, the author of the short stories, Read Before Use, The Night Market, A Love Song for Herkinal, The Wish Box, and What the Dead Man Said.

    Chinelo is a Nigerian writer and editor living in Toronto. She’s the nonfiction editor of Anathema (pron) Magazine, and co-founder of Omenana(pron), a magazine of African Speculative Fiction. Her writing has been featured in several anthologies and magazines, including Slate, Uncanny, and Strange Horizons. She’s been nominated for the British Science Fiction Awards, the Nommo Awards for African Speculative Fiction, and the Short Story Day Africa Award.

    Lumkile is a speaker, poet, and award-winning filmmaker. He has spoken around the nation and in places such as Sudan, South Africa, China, and Palestine. As an adjunct professor at Kilns College, he teaches on human rights, de-colonizing your faith, and filmmaking. A native of Detroit, A. D. has more than seventeen years of experience preaching and teaching the peace of Jesus in ethnically divided countries, cultures, and communities.

    We discuss everything from being newly published to the revelations of therapy and trauma recognition.
